New York Comic Con 2026: Are you going? it’s the big event with a few related happenings in NYC.
From 10/8-1011, it’s New York Comic Con 2026: NYC’s largest comic book event and general pop culture convention. Announced comic creators include Frank Miller, Jim Lee, James Tynion IV, Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta. Free publisher signings include DC (booth 4365, digital queueing, 100 people per signing), Dark Horse (booth 4451) and Mad Cave (booth 4457).
Running from 10/3 until 1/31/27, over at the Brooklyn Museum, there’s the Art of Manga - the first major exhibition in the Americas to explore manga - Japanese comics and graphic novels - as an art form. Marking its East Coast debut, the Brooklyn Museum’s presentation is packed with more than 600 drawings that showcase manga’s immersive power and social impact. Don’t miss this rare opportunity for US audiences to encounter an astonishing selection of original manga artworks, including examples from beloved series Inuyasha, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Ōoku: The Inner Chambers, ONE PIECE, and many more.
During the same weekend as NYCC, the Pee-wee New York Pop-up Shop opens with licensed apparel, poster and more forPee-wee’s Playhouse.
Happening in NYC’s Forbidden Planet comic book store. On 10/10, it’s the Toxic Avenger Vs The Noxious Offender #1 release party and signing, featuring comic book artists and Lloyd Kaufman, co-founder of Troma Entertainment and creator of the Toxic Avenger.
Over on Long Island, on 10/10, there’s the Behind the Diamond Cards show - cards & sports cards event with a low cost admission.
In Bordentown, NJ, on 10/11, there’s the RK Sports Promotions show featuring 40+ dealers, $5 admission.
On 10/10-10/11, in Danvers, Massachusetts, the Northshore Horror and Anime Fest is coming around to spook us out. Pop culture convention covering horror, anime, cosplay and collectibles. Vendors sell comics, trading cards, anime merch and horror memorabilia. Tickets are $15. Costume contests will be held!
