How’s the week going?
Here are a few events to head out this weekend! Next week is New York Comic Con 2026! A good amount of smaller events are leading up to the big event in NYC:
Big comic book event this weekend in Philadelphia: Animate! Philadelphia will take place on 10/2 - 10/4. This is a pop culture/anime convention run by GalaxyCon. Three days of anime, animation, cosplay, video and tabletop gaming, panels, costume contests, and cosplay wrestling.
On 10/3, an ongoing comic book art class for adults is happening at Everyone Comics in Queens, NY. This is a recurring series of Saturday classes.
A lot of card shows happening!
In NYC on 10/2, the 42nd St. Friday Midnight Card Show will take place. Come buy, sell, trade, and connect with fellow collectors! It’s a card show with a late-night format.
Also on 10/2, on Staten Island, NY, the Sports Cards, Pokemon, and TCG Card Show will be taking place with over 100 vendor tables.
In Parsippany, NJ, from 10/2-10/3, the Morris County Card Show will be organizing an event. Join for an incredible weekend full of sport cards, Pokemon, TCG memorabilia.
In Morristown, NJ, on 10/3-10/4, the North Jersey Card Show- MEGA Trading Card Show will have 500+ dealer tables across 32,000+ square feet, covering sports cards, Pokémon, One Piece, memorabilia, and vintage and modern collectibles, plus food trucks and a kids' corner.
In East Islip, Long Island, on 10/3, Bazooka Greg's TCG Show begins with first 50 attendees to receive 10 raffles with paid admission. Super Smash Bros Melee & Ultimate tournaments take place!
Over in Montgomery, NY on 10/3, there’s the Hudson Valley Trading Cards & Collectibles Show - a one-of-a-kind trading card and collectibles event created by Lucas, a young collector who wanted to bring together fellow fans, families, and hobby enthusiasts from across the Hudson Valley.
The Toms River South Card Show will be held on October 3 in Toms River, NJ.
On 10/3, the Ocean County Cards and Collectibles in Manahawkin, NJ will feature card fans & vendors, featuring celebrity guest New York baseball legend Dwight "Doc" Gooden.
On 10/4, the Long Island TCG Show happens at Melville, NY. Collectors, enthusiasts, and traders unite to buy, sell, and trade their favorite TCG treasures - whether you’re hunting for that elusive card to complete your deck or looking to showcase your own collection.
On 10/4, it’s the Supershow at Dave and Busters Cards & Comics show in Westbury, Long Island. Featuring comic books and cards.
Over in NYC, on 10/4 the 34th St Card show is billed as New York's premier sports card and memorabilia show to buy, sell and discover from across the tri-state area.
